#Peacemakers!

We live in days and times where peace is often imposed by force. The UN frequently talks about peace keeping forces deployed across the globe. But this morning text has nothing to do with such understand of peace. 
Before conflict and war is manifested outwardly in an argument with a co-worker or a spouse, or in an ethnic conflit, or again in an all out war between nations; we must understand that unresolved tensions and conflicts reside in the heart of all unregenerated men and women. Fallen humanity is at war with Self because sin has alienated us from our Maker and Hevenly Father. This situation has robbed us of our inner peace which can only be restored through our embrace of the Prince of Peace. 
PEACEMAKERS therefore are the believers who introduce unbelievers to the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 52:7) resulting in the restoration of their inner peace. 
May you this day choose to be a peacemaker for there is great reward attached to it.

#ThePeaceofGod!

As Paul concludes his letter to the Philippians in the 4th Chapter, he gives them a few final recommendations. In verse 6, leading  up to today's verse, Paul encourages us to be anxious for nothing but rather to make our request known (to God is implied here) by prayer and supplication with Thanksgiving.
When coupled with verse 7, verse 6 literally stands as a prerequisite for verse 7 which is today's verse.
Clearly the word is: Reject anxiety and Pray in order to experience the peace of God that surpasses all understanding. In this way your heart and mind will not be troubled.
Now it may be true that there are some real life situations which may cause us to worry and rightly so. But scripture is advising us that  worrying doesn't change a thing on any given situation. All it does is to impact negatively our hearts and mind.
So instead of worrying or being anxious in 2021, rather choose to always pray first to acquire peace, then work at solving the problems you can solve and for those you can't - look to God and trust that he has your best interest in minds.

#WiseUp!

Wisdom is generally regarded as applied knowledge & good judgment. But this definition immediately implies a standard or a measuring unit for both knowledge and judgment.
Today's scripture taken from James is encouraging the reader who acknowledges deficiency in wisdom to ask God for it and he will be exhausted. But it is still James who tells us of two kind of wisdom in Chapter 3:13 - 18. Wisdom from above, coming from God and wisdom from below. This distinction is essential to note to answer the question on the standard presented above.
The wisdom God will grant whosoever will ask is the wisdom from above. Because God cannot identify with the wisdom from below. Proverb 9: 10 tell us that the prerequisite to obtaining the wisdom from above is the fear of the Lord.
So here you have it! You want to Wise Up in 2021? Fear (revere and worship) God and where you still are confused about certain things, ask Jehovah for light and you will be enlightened.

LoveOneAnother!

love, agape love, unconditional, deliberate & pursuing type of love (embrace & acceptance of the other, while actively seeking their greatest good according to God's will for them) is the trademark of Jesus Christ.

To be a disciple means to model after or better to be a devoted student of a person with the intention to become exactly like them. A disciple is an imitator of the master or teacher.

So because love as defined above is the trademark of Jesus Christ. If we are his disciples we must walk in love too.

Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father & Prince of Peace. Yes, and I call Him: My Lord and My God, Master (Adonaï), the precious Lamb of God, the King of kings and the Lord of lords, the Lion of Judah, the Eternal Word of God, the Lord of Life, the Mighty Conqueror, My Savior and Friend, My Redeemer, My Healer, My Prized Possession, My Rock and Tower of Refuge, My Protector and Defender, My Provider, the Lover of My Soul, My Great Shepherd, My provider, My Hero, Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of the Living God, the Resurrected of the third day, the Conqueror of Sin and Death, Jesus Christ, etc... this list can't be exhausted. Because of Him and Him alone, I am still standing. Life without Him after a year like this one is simply a living agony.
I wish you will make it a point to take His extended hand towards you from this day forward. He is the real reason for this season... don't miss your boat for eternity. Receive Him today as the free gift of The Father and your life will never be the same. What do you have to loose. Find a bible and read Romans 10: 5 - 13. When done, call on Jesus and receive His everlasting Peace.
